Vocabulario Unidad III

Flu= gripe
Tom has the flu.

Cough= tos
I have a persistent cough.

Stomachache= dolor de estomago
He had a dreadful stomach ache after eating too much chocolate

toothache= dolor de muelas
I had toothache all day.

Headaches= dolor de cabeza
This medicine will relieve your headache.

Throat= garganta
They put a knife to my throat and robbed me

shellfish= marisco
I don't like shellfish.

Sneeze= estornudo
I sneeze all the time.

sore= dolorido
I have a very sore arm where you hit me.

Fever= fiebre
The boy has a high fever.

Knitting's a great pastime for people who get restless sitting down.

bake= hornear
I like to bake bread

crossword= crucigrama
i like crossword puzzles

Climbing=  alpinismo, montañismo
Emily hates climbing

Skirt= falda
My skirt is blue.

Bread= Pan
The children eat bread.

weather= tiempo
The period of hot weather is very short here.

nearby= Cercano
Is there a pharmacy nearby?

noisy= Ruidoso
The dogs are so noisy

Afford= permitir
i can´t afford anything new

encourage = Animar, alentar
Parents should encourage children to read everyday.

themselves= ellos mismos
They served themselves from the buffet.

Rather= preferir

I would rather go to a bar than go to the movies.
